Covid-19 made Lukasz forsake IT at the European Commission for his passion — baking Polish-style Lithuanian bread and more. But you probably have to be early at Tervuren’s Friday market to taste it.
“Tervuren park is what I like the most — to run, walk there. Everything,” says Lukasz. Covid made Polish-born Lukasz see the light after 18 years spent in IT, also at the European Commission. “I’d just had enough of computers,” he tells Tervuren+.
“I’d been baking for 11 or 12 years when Covid came along. Then I was baking more and more and more. And I thought I could bake instead of working in front of a computer,” says Lukasz, who launched as a business three years ago.
“At the start, I was baking small quantities or to order,” he says. Now, though, you have to go early to be sure to get your Polish-style Lithuanian bread at Tervuren’s Friday market.
